For both CPCS and NPORS CSCS Card Schemes, when the initial 2 year trained operator card expires, a VQ (Vocational Qualification) must be achieved to upgrade to a competent operators card.
With a minimum of 6 months experience, candidates can register to complete their VQ. This involves preparing a written portfolio of evidence to prove competence on the machine. The process involves an Induction, written witness testimony from an employer and an assessor completing formal observations of the candidate whilst working on site.
We offer NOCN CSkills Awards Level 2 NVQ in Plant Operations (Construction) in all the plant categories that we test on. Once achieved, this is a lifetime qualification and does not need to be retaken.
