Abrasive Wheels
Introduction:
This Abrasive Wheels ½ day training course is for personnel who have been tasked with the removal and mounting of wheels. In addition, it will cover safe usage and provide delegates with the knowledge and ability to cut or grind safely. This is a CITB grant-eligible course.
This course covers:
- Provision and use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998
- Safety in the use of abrasive wheels HSG17
- Personal Protective Equipment Regulations 1998 and its correct usage
- Hazards arising from use (The HSE and RCS)
- Methods of marking abrasive and diamond wheels

Emergency First Aid at Work
Introduction:
This Emergency First Aid at Work 1-day course is for anyone in the workplace who may need to train as a first aider. Participants will gain an understanding of how to manage serious incidents in the workplace, whilst learning several life-saving techniques.

Slinger Signaller
Introduction:
This 1-day course is designed for delegates required to sling and signal loads in the workplace. In addition, the course covers the associated legislation, approved code of practice (ACOP) and the dangers associated with suspended loads. It will teach delegates the ability to safely sling and position various loads.
This course covers:
- Methods of risk control (lift plans)
- Slinger Signaller roles and responsibilities
- Regulations and legislation (LOLER)
- Pre-use inspection checks
- Securing various types of load to a lifting hook using the relevant lifting accessory

Asbestos Awareness
Introduction:
This Asbestos Awareness ½ day training course is for anyone who undertakes ground clearance, excavations, building, maintenance, installation and other work in buildings or work environments that could contain asbestos. Manual Handling
Introduction:
This ½ day course is aimed at all employees who may undertake manual handling operations, including the transporting of a load by lifting, putting down, pushing, pulling, carrying, or moving thereof by hand or by bodily force. This includes but is not limited to:
- Warehouse and factory staff
- Heavy manual labourers
- Construction site workers
- Office workers

- The definition of manual handling and explaining the common causes of injury

Working at Height
Introduction:
This Working at Height ½ day training course is for any workers who may be required to work at height during their normal duties. We aim to give delegates a thorough working knowledge of the Work at Height Regulations 2005, as well as familiarising them with any other relevant health and safety laws.

This Service Location (Cat & Genny) 1-day training course is aimed at ground and utilities workers and anyone tasked with locating and marking underground services. Confined Spaces
Introduction:
This 1-day course is designed for delegates required to enter or identify confined spaces. It will provide operatives with a thorough understanding of confined spaces. In addition, the course covers the associated legislation, approved code of practice (ACOP) and the dangers associated with confined spaces. It will teach delegates how to enter confined spaces safely, work and leave them safely by horizontal and/or vertical entry. This is a CITB grant-eligible course.
