The CTD Safety Team

Our team brings with it a wealth of front-line experience in the industry which means that you can have the confidence that we will be able to help you and truly understand what you need.  We are dedicated to providing you with top quality, practical and effective training solutions on every occasion.

Paul has extensive and wide-ranging plant knowledge and experience. This was initialliy gained by working for construction companies, and then developed further through running his own groundworks company. Paul’s in-depth experience coupled with his talent for teaching has made him one of the best Trainer/Assessors in the industry.

Paul was instrumental in setting up CTD and in attaining CPCS Test Centre status for CTD and in addition, was selected to deliver the first new CPCS Technical Test in the country. Qualifications include NEBOSH.

Dave worked in industry for many years before joining CTD, and it was during this time that his involvement in Health and Safety began. As his experience of health and safety in the field grew, so did his belief in its importance, both to individuals and at company level.

Dave brings this passion to his role as instructor at CTD, where he has proved to be an excellent communicator and facilitator. His ability to engage and encourage clients of all levels, and to deliver meaningful, relevant courses has been a key contributor to our continuing success as health and safety training providers. Dave’s Qualifications include PTLLS (C&G 7303).

Kevin has been with the company for 6 years. He has extensive experience in the industry including successful construction plant operator, which helps him to empathise with his trainees now.

Kevin is our Streetwork expert, but also undertakes Plant training and runs a programme of NVQ Plant Assessments for local construction and civil engineering companies. 

Kevin is also SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) qualified and PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) qualified.

Keith has invaluable industry experience having worked for many years as a site manager with magor civil and contruction companies before moving into the HS&E sector. This experience means that Keith understands the full importance and complexities of implementing health and safety on-site and in the work place. He is both NEBOSH Construction and IOSH Technicial qualified with experience in CDM.

Keith is also a qualified CSkills Tutor and runs a range of Site Safety Plus training schemes including SMSTS and PMSTS.

Steve has invaluable and extensive industry experience having worked for many years as a plant operator and then Site Manager and Supervisor within the Earthworks and Construction industries. He then moved into the HS&E sector.

Steve’s extensive experience coupled with his talent for training and his passion to pass on his knowledge to others makes him an ideal Trainer and Assessor.  He also brings his understanding of the importance and complexities of implementing health and safety on-site and in the work place to his Health & Safety Consultant role.

Steve is also SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme), PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector),  CSkills,  Asbestos Awareness for IATP, NVQ Assessor and Internal Verifier qualified.  He is CMIOSH Corporate Member of the Institute of Safety & Health and an IOQ (Institute of Quarrying) member.

Sarah became a Director of CTD in 2014 and heads up the office team. She has extensive experience in the service and financial sectors and has quickly introduced measures to ensure continuous improvement in customer service and client care standards. She is supported by Natalie, who has great experience and depth of knowledge from her 5 years at CTD.  Helen and Nicky provide administrative support within the office and both have a wealth of experience in both the training and service sectors.
